Customer Reviews from Amazon :

Choose Wisely by buying this book
There is an overall theme to modern health care; over testing, over diagnosing and therefore, over treating. This can have negative consequences. No treatments are benign and the risks are not worth it if there are no benefits.

That is why the Choose Wisely campaign was started. But how do emergency physicians choose what tests to order? This excellent resource book provides that guidance. Using the BEST evidence available they are able to direct clinicians into choosing wisely. It helps you decide on what investigations to order and how to apply these tests within a clinical decision framework.

Before any new ER resident orders their first test they should be required to read this book.

Great source for the lates evidence in the practice of emergency medicine

I really like this book, i was a fan of the 1st edition and now I am so exited to see the 2nd edition coming out. In the era of over utilization and sucking the medical system resources, this book comes to make it very practical and easy to use EBM on your daily practice of emergency medicine. I believe that it's well written, easy to read and interpret, and its size is compact and fits everywhere. Highly recommend.

Excellent primer on EBD

This book fills an important gap in the body of work about evidence based medicine in the ED, and is a comprehensive and well-written primer to the topic. It is a readable, practical guide that provides clear assistance for decision-making for any clinician in the ED. The second edition is an improvement on the first, with well-chosen new research and examples. This is an excellent book and should be on the shelf of all in the emergency medicine field.
