Excellent resource
As a resident in training I found this book to be an incredible resource. I particularly appreciated the information contained in the the Appendix under the section titled "Please don't make my mistakes." Experience is the best teacher and nowhere is this more evident than in the practice of medicine. A wonderful text and a smooth read.

Best overview ever of spine conditions!
Having practiced general/trauma surgery for 23 years and served as a V A Compensation and Pension Examiner for 9, I find this to be the best overview of anatomy, physiology, pathology and proven treatments of spinal cord and spine conditions that I have ever read. Drs. Bartleson and Deen have sought a middle ground for treatment of such disorders growing out of their teaching for many years a course to neurologists who wished to learn more about the many spine conditions which disable so many of our patients. This well referenced 14 chapter work arrived by mail order two months ago. It is a quick read considering the tremendous volume of useful information contained therein. Several times already, I have referenced the book in providing medical opinions. The illustrations are stellar. This is a "must read" for any practitioner treating spinal cord and vertebral spine conditions. Patients can learn a lot too.
