Mentalizing is the fundamental human capacity to "read" one's own and others' mental states such as thoughts and feelings. The editors of Handbook of Mentalizing in Mental Health Practice have authored two previous books aimed at establishing mentalizing as a developmental and clinical concept. The book was received within a short time, in perfect condition. It answers my needs in my practice -- I wanted to add a little something more to my therapy practice in which I use various therapies including CBT, geshtault, NLP, Redecision therapy, Transactional Analysis, and have integrated them into the theory and therapy that I have developed, KEG cards (Keys to Emotional Growth) and the book Mentalizing fits right into my integrative approach. I especially enjoy the varied connections between mentalizing process and many different types of therapy.
