Great shelf exam resource!
I read this book in about 2 weeks, and found it to be great preperation for the nbme shelf exam. Some students attempt to do only the cases and associated answers but the real meat of the book is in the associated discussions. The only rotations prior to this shelf that I had were Peds, FM, and Gen Surg. The kindle version was sufficient for me to increase mobility.

This book was a great resource for my clinical rotations. Summarized all the main points for each diagnosis. Easy to read too.
Case files rocks!
I studied almost all the books in this series for the USMLE exams and I found them very useful. This book is very much up-to-date with all the latest recommendations regarding screening tests. It also covers health maintenance visits, a topic you would be hard-pressed to find in a classic internal medicine textbook. I found this book particularly useful for step 2 CS, too!
