great read
I practice emergency medicine in a community setting where many times we have to do critical care management in the ED (without much back up). This book is a great resource and keeps the critical care relevant to the ED. I have a book for myself and bought one for the department.

Great reference for emergency physicians!
This book is a great reference for emergency physicians dealing with increasingly complex patients and the care they require when critically ill. It covers all aspects of critical care in the ED and is a useful tool for both community ED physicians with little back-up and ED doctors working in high-volume urban centers. It is well-organized and well-written and will improve my own clinical practice.

This book takes emergency physicians to a needed higher level of critical care management in the emergency department. It is a must read for all residents. It is a great resource for both academic and community emergency physicians and intensivists.

This book is a great resource for the critical care physician, not just those in Emergency Medicine. It is evidence based and it has great pictures and illustrations. It is the first in this field!
